He is survived by: his wife Christine Hensley; his children, Robert Hensley (Diane) of Florida, Charles Patterson (Tammy) of Cameron, Joseph Patterson (Nicole) of Beaufort, SC and Betty Hilton (Bobby) of Harleyville, SC; his brother Don Hensley (Bridgett) of Texas; his grandchildren, Johnathon, David, Christi, Robert, Emily, Bella, Jazz, Joey and Roman; and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Raelyn, Lillie and Savannah.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lemon Springs United Methodist Church (7225 Lemon Springs Rd, Sanford, NC 27332).
