He is survived by: his children, Ira J. Donovan, Tina Michelle Spry (Simpson), Ted K. Marble (Tiffany), Kristie Simpson, Andrew H. Simpson (River Warren), Anthony T. Simpson (Maude) and Lisa Estelle Barrett (David). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
He was awarded the TECOM Professional Certificate for his exemplary service, and contributions to a diversity of military communications projects.
