We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2021, at the age of 94, Lewis Nelson Cooper Sr. of Cameron, North Carolina, born in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Early and Hattie Lankford Cooper; his wife Nettie Jones Cooper; and his brothers, Roy, Paul, James and Kenneth.

He is survived by: his children, Lewis Cooper, Jr. (Susan) of Southern Pines, Jean McInnis (Duncan) of Raleigh and Phyllis Cooper Magnuson (Ted) of Cameron; and his sister Betty Spivey of Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374 or Cameron Baptist Church, 503 Carthage St, Cameron NC 28326.
