He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Riley Woodell and Violet Mae Edwards Woodell; his wife Brenda Kay Woodell; and his stepson Stephen Scott Daniel. He is survived by: his daughters, Teressa Rebecca Coggins of Thomasville, NC, Linda Sue Woodell of Sanford, NC, Brenda Lou Woodell, Alice Faye Ashley (Mitchell) of Sanford, NC and Helen Marie Daniel of Cameron, NC.; and his siblings, Shirley Woodell Welch of Asheboro, NC., John Riley Woodell of Cedar Falls, NC and Charles Lee Woodell of Franklinville, NC.

“I was so sad to learn of your loss..I always called him Uncle Paul as a child...My Dad's cousin...He once gave us a pet Squirrel that he had tamed and when the squirrel died he actually gave it a service and buried it for us..He will be greatly missed by all....”
