She was predeceased by: her parents, Hylton Joel Denny and Essie Key Denny; her husband Manuel Lancaster Holder; her granddaughter Carrie Delores Holder; and her siblings, Ann King, Rena Overby and David Denny.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry M. Holder (Cheryl) of Cameron, Joel Holder (Cynthia) of Cameron, Vickie Blue (John) of Carthage and Dennis Holder (Kathy) of Pinehurst; her grandchildren, Jamie Taylor (Sammy), Lindsay Wilson (Leslie), Regan Smith (Johnny), Kevin Holder (Sara), Kelly Holder, Karen Nall Samuel (Kevin), Caroline Holder and Sarah Holder; and her sisters, Sylvia Gaines of Broadway and Jackie Lankford of Sanford. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Vass (3448 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at the Johnson Grove Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children Hospital in memory of Polly Holder.
