She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Bullins and Levia Simpson Bullins; her husband Earl Cheek; and her siblings, William Bullins and Sylvia Jones.
She is survived by: her sons, Jesse "Lewis" Cheek (Lisa) of Carthage and James "David" Cheek (Goldie) of Aberdeen; her grandson James David Cheek, II (Emma Crews); and her great grandchild Easton James Cheek. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church (4460 Lobelia Rd, Vass, NC 28394). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
