She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Bill" Basil Ward and Helen Daily Lamb Ward; her daughter Terri Lynn Cathey; and her siblings, Billy Ward, Charles Ward, James "Jim" Ward, Betty Rollins and Mary Patelidas.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Douglas Cathey; her children, Jerry Dale Cathey (Leigh), Craig Douglas Cathey (Chris Oberholtzer) and Michael James Cathey; her grandchildren, Cooper Cathey, Tyler Oberholtzer and Anna Robinson; her sister Patsy Dotson (Joe); and her sister-in-law Brenda C. Hinson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Four Seasons Hospice Foundation, 211 N Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
