She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Thomas Brooks and Lillian Boardman Brooks; her brothers, Horace, Leland and Allen Brooks; and her siblings-in-law, Betty Brooks, Ben Saxon, Ray Ferreira, Al Collins and Jerry Millette.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Allen, Jr. (Suzanna) of Canton, Thomas "Tommy" Owen Allen (Vicki) of Canton, Michael Jay Allen of Canton, Marla Brown (Mike) of Forest City and Steven Allen of Canton; her siblings, Helen Millette, Janet Brooks, John Brooks (Kathy), Brenda Collins, Catherine Ferreira, Taffie Saxon, Deborah Brooks and Edward Brooks (Pat); her sister-in-law Nancy Allen; her grandchildren, Hannah Hoglen (Joseph), Amy Hawkins (Adam), Benjamin Allen, Justin Allen (Haley), Curtis Everhart (Tasha), Jeremy Brown (Jen), Bryan Brown and Jessica Holland (Garrett); her nieces, Maria Almany, Leisa Wilson and Tina Holcombe; her nephew Jay Allen; and her close friend Bronwen Sheffield. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Spring Hill Baptist Church (1918 Murray Rd, Canton, NC 28716). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
