She is survived by: her son John; her daughter-in-law Carla Matthews of Candler; her stepson-in-law Doug Odear of Douglasville, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jones (Tyler) of Candler, Maddason Matthews (Herbie) of Candler, Madison Reynolds of Candler, Bradlee Jones (Rayna) of Candler, Bradden Matthews (Taylor) of Candler, Avary Matthews of Candler, Prestyn Matthews of Candler and Madeline Plemmons of Candler; her great grandchild Eden Matthews; her sisters, Pauline Vallée and Mireille Dufort of Canada; and her sister-in-law Louise Matthews of Cartersville, Georgia. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
A reception will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church (9 Chapel Hill Church Rd, Asheville, NC 28803).
