He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Maxwell Barnett and Naomi Grant Barnett; his siblings, Helen Slocomb, Bobbie Griffin and Jerman McKinnish Jr.; and his nephews, Max Queen and Ronnie Weatherman.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Willis; his daughter Jeanna Barnett; his son-in-law Thomas Reese; his grandson Wesley Logan (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Brody Logan, Noah Montcastle and Walker Logan; his niece Pam Widar; his nephews, Randy Queen, Kenneth and Terry Weatherman; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Crayton (Jim), Deborah Harbin (Doug), Dawn Bergstrom (Rick), Johnny Willis (Joan), Michael Willis, Randy Willis (Margie) and Phillip Willis.
