He was predeceased by: his wife Carol; his parents, John Paul Jones and Dorothy Whitmire Jones; and his siblings, Curtis Jones and Ruby Knight.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tricia Bond (Terry) and Lorri Patton (Jesse); his grandchildren, Chelsea Bond, Dylan Bond (Megan) and Ashley Patton; and his sisters, Helen Burch and Coleen Howery. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
