She was predeceased by: her parents, Andy Wheeler and Dessie Cooper Riddle; her husband James Hugh Shetley; and her siblings, Willard Franklin Riddle, Vance Hugh Riddle, Gertie Lucille Danielson, Andy Forrest Riddle, Arthur Lee Riddle, Charles Hubert Riddle, Bettye Ruth Harris and Helen Irene "Jane" Wrinkle.
She is survived by: her sons, Charles Eric Shetley (Martha), Steven David Shetley (Debra) and Brian Wesley Shetley (Debbie); and her grandchildren, Melanie Wood MaryBeth (Mark), Megan Whitted (Jeremy), David Shetley Brittany (Jessica) and Laura Taylor. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pisgah View Memorial Park (1529 Smokey Park Hwy, Candler, NC 28715).
