He is survived by: his sister Nancy Wright Sluder (Michael); his niece Holly Marie Sluder Bailey (Michael); his great-nephews, Abel Wade of Alexander and Dawson Lee Bailey of Alexander; his nephew Christopher Greg Sluder of Candler; his aunt Nancy Matthews Lindeblad Spence of Miami; and his former wife Susan Ann Pell. He is also survived by many cousins, other family members and close friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Snow Hill United Methodist Church (84 Snow Hill Church Rd, Candler, NC 28715). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Snow Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery (84 Snow Hill Church Rd, Candler, NC 28715).
