With sadness, we share the passing of Mary Elizabeth DeVore Netherton of Candler, North Carolina. Mary Elizabeth, born on September 10, 1937, passed away on August 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Max DeVore and Martha Hannah DeVore; and her husband Wilburn C. Netherton. She is survived by: her sons, Danny (Vickey) and Ricky Netherton (Peggy); her grandchildren, Tara Jaynes (Charles), Johnny Moody (Janet), Diamond Adams (Isaiah), Lauren Burrell (Jonathan) and Allison Capps (Jason); and her siblings, Betty Jo Warren, Maxine Snelson, Carolyn Heatherly (Phil), Tammie Smith, James DeVore (Darlene) and Gene DeVore (Joan). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
