With sadness, we share the passing of Max Arless Rymer (Candler, North Carolina). Max, born on September 5, 1931, passed away on September 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Rymer and Vernie Estelle Reemes; his wife Margaret Bridges Rymer; and his siblings, Margaret DeBruhl and Russell Rymer.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Hedden (Randee), Steve Rymer (Cathey) and Cheryl Pettit (Gene); his siblings, Keith Rymer and Leneice White; and his adoptive daughter Linda Ward. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and special friend.
The lying in state was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Groce Funeral Home (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1498 Sand Hill Rd, Candler, NC 28715).
