She was predeceased by: her parents, Talmadge Alvin "T. A." Massie and Lillian Massie; her husband James "Whitey" Lance; her sister Peggy Massie Parris; her brother-in-law Junior Parris; her nephew Tony Farmer; and her son Keith Lance.

She is survived by: her daughter April Lance Brown; her siblings, David Massie and Joyce Farmer; her nephew Jeff Parris; her niece Robin Canipe; her grandchildren, Jake Lance, Brandy Lance and Garrett Lance; and her great grandchildren, Adrienne Lance, Memphis Lance and Lennon Covil. She is also survived by many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Patsy requested that a rose be planted in her memory as a lasting tribute to her life and the love she shared with others.
