He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Paul Kent Sr. and Mary Kent; his uncle Paul Kent Jr.; and his niece Michele Smiley. He is survived by: his parents, Roy William Kent and Irene Carolina Warren Kent; his daughters, Felicia Kent and Jessica Kent; his sister Pamela Smiley; his sibling's children, Melissa Smiley and Michael Smiley; and his grandchildren, Jayden Remmes, Lillian Roberts, Leah Roberts, Laci Roberts, Christopher Remmes and Livi Roberts.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1 Chapel of Faith Dr, Candler, NC 28715). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1498 Sand Hill Rd, Candler, NC 28715).
