He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry W. Penland and Brenda J. Penland; and his pet Rio. He is survived by: his siblings, Recia Penland and Cathy Penland of Candler, NC; his nephews, Adam Cabe (Amanda) of Candler, NC and Alan Cabe of Canton, NC; his aunt Sharon Wallen of Tacoma; his great-nephew Joey Cabe; his great-nieces, Lillie and Maggie Brogan; and his friend Maddie Singleton.
