With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara East Gregory of Candor, North Carolina, who passed away on August 24, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lee East Sr. and Doris Kathryn Shelton East; her husband John "Pete" Richard Gregory; and her siblings, Thelma East Forney and Larry Martin East.

She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Carter (Dennis) and Leonard Lee Keen (Wanda); her grandchildren, Amy Lea Lawson (David), Robert Carter (Rachael), James Carter (Catherine) and Mary Williams (Zack); her great grandchildren, Destiny Lawson, Piper Lawson, Christopher Carter, Silas Carter and Noah Carter; and her siblings, Jesse Lee East Jr. and Carlease East.
