She was loved and cherished by many people including : her mother Bessie Latham Luther; her daughter Marie Goodwin; her husband James Chappell; her sons, James Chappell, Jr. (Jannie) of Rockingham and Wilburn Chappell of Mt. Gilead; her son-in-law Butch Goodwin of Candor; and her grandchildren, Kassie Rushing (Caleb), Kristin Thompson (Adam), Zandra Chappell, Stephanie Fields (Dalton) and Miranda Howell (Andrew). She was also cherished by 9 Great-grandchildren.
