He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Theron and Georgia Madge Mullinix Cagle; his wife Joyce Brown Cagle; and his son Billy Ray Cagle, Jr.. He is survived by : his daughter Tina Cagle Beaman (Roy) of Troy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Southside Cemetery (303 S Main St, Troy, NC 27371).
