He was predeceased by: his parents, Robey Cecil and Ruby Louise Latham Spivey; his brothers, Cecil Spivey, Frankie Spivey and Tim Spivey; and his half-sister Lucille Costin.
He is survived by: his son Chris Spivey (Jordan) of Biscoe; and his siblings, Rodney Spivey (Dorothy) of Randleman, Patsy Varner (Junior) of Candor, Demetrice Eubanks of Candor and Paula Faye Spivey of Biscoe.
