She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold E. "Butch" Schafer and Anna I. Goodwin; her sons, Paul Rider (Mary Ann) and Joshua R. Schafer-Lint; and her brothers, Michael W. Schafer and Mark Wayne Beck Schafer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Kreshana L. Schafer and Sarina F. Carpenter (Jacob); her siblings, Loretta "Lorrie" Schafer, Martin James Adams, Harold E. Schafer Jr. (Carrie), Daniel Schafer (Vanessa), Dennis W Schafer (Tina) and George Rios (Robin); and her grandchildren, Tyrail Singleton, Summer Shuler, Hunner Shuler and Astrid Carpenter.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Welcome Home Ministries (43 Murphy Blvd, Canton, NC 28716).
