She is survived by: her mother Cindy Stowers (Hal) of Clyde; her children, Rylea Higdon of Marion and Zach Higdon of Clyde; her siblings, Charlie Messer of Asheville, Cody Phillips of Sylva, Beth Monroe of Fredericksburg, VA, Ethan Phillips of Candler and Madison Phillips of Fletcher; and her stepsisters, Mary Lee Meade of Florida and Melissa Carter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
