She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Harrell and Lola Ball Harrell; and her sister Patricia Pless. She is survived by: her husband Gary Suttles; her sister Linda Pless of Tennessee; and her close friend Barbara Mills of Idaho. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
