It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Jones Nelson (Canton, North Carolina), who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Jones and Delia Gaddy Jones; her son William "Randy" Randall Nelson; and her siblings, Francis Queen, Gene Jones and Walter Medford.
She is survived by: her husband Carroll Nelson of Canton; her sons, Stephen "Tony" Reid of Canton, Kenneth "Kenny" Wesley Reid of Canton and Edward "Eddie" Nelson of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Adam Nelson of Clyde, Sarah Ann Nelson of Canton and Wesley Reid of Arizona; her great grandchildren, Dezmond, Ryker, Kaylin, Ashlyn and Kenny; and her friend Jean.
