With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Wells of Canton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 9, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Clay and Faye Neal (Marshall); her husband Shufford Garland Wells; her son Marshall Kimsey Wells (Kim); and her sister Wanda Loudermilk.

She is survived by: her children, Rhonda McClure of Canton, NC, Neal Wells (Diane) of Marion, NC and Mease Wells (Anita) of Canton, NC; her siblings, Margaret Holcombe of Canton, NC and Robert Clay (Bob); her grandchildren, Mandy Lowe, Cristan McCall (Byron), Chad Wells, Brandon Jenkins, Holly Haley (Jason), Melanie Mooney (Brett), Tina Fortney (Taylor), Erin Valentine (Casey) and Lindsey Wells (Jordan); and her great grandchildren, Seth, Jaxson Lowe, Kellyn, Kinsley McCall, Garren, Grayson, Austin Shaw, Boone, Elizabeth Haley, Evie, Isla Mooney and Rhodes Fortney.
