She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Cody and Nora Cody; her husband Jarvis Haney; her son-in-law Robert Ruff; and her grandchildren, Joshua Norris and Kristie Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Haney (Carolyn), Elaine Ruff, Vick Haney (Doris), Danny Haney (Jeannie) and Nancy Melton (Bill); and her caregivers, Katrina Rogers, Betty Jo Ruff, Kristy Mashburn, Trish Woods, Glenn Bryant and Lisa Bryant. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Wells Funeral Home of Canton (3715 Asheville Hwy, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 at the Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens (7343 Carolina Blvd, Clyde, NC 28721).
