She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolman Thomas Moore and Faye Annie Stamey Moore; her daughter Cindy Messer Clark; her siblings, Geraldine Israel, Hazel Moore, Floyd Thomas "Jack" Moore and Eugene "Doc" Moore; and her daughter-in-law Linda Smathers Messer.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph E. Messer; her sons, Darryl Messer (Marcie) of Canton and Darren Messer (Donna) of Asheville; her grandchildren, Amber Lambert (William), Dewayne Clark (Katy), Ashley Messer, Kristen Rigdon (Colton), Holston Kent, Joseph Messer and Trenton Messer; her great grandchildren, Easton Clark, Lane Rigdon and Grant Clark; and her brother Hugh Moore (Kathy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
