She was predeceased by: her parents, John Albert and Effie Haney Justice; her husband Charles Reeves McElrath; and her sister Betty Allen. She is survived by: her children, John McElrath (Annette), Eddie McElrath, Mike McElrath (Tracy) and Gail Paxton (Ricky); her grandchildren, Josh McElrath (Amanda), Jeffrey McElrath (Shaina), Holly Hatton (Adam) and Jared McElrath (Shane); her great grandchildren, Nathanael, Katelynn McElrath and Hunter Hatton; her sister Sarah Fox (Pug); her stepgrandchildren, Nicole Cochran (Shawn), Megan Freeman (Josh) and Boyd Lambert; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Brinley, Layla Cochran, Colton Freeman, Brayden and Emily Lambert.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wells Funeral Home of Canton (3715 Asheville Hwy, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
