He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vanis and Mary Lou Mathis Shipman; his wife Sarah Jane Burrell Shipman; and his daughter-in-law Laurie Shipman. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Shipman and Larry Shipman (Regina); his siblings, Ruby Lee Crumpler, G. L. Shipman (Pat), James Shipman (Shevondea) and Danny Shipman (Kim); his grandchildren, Michael Shipman (Mindy) and Gina Jennings; and his great grandchild Victory Shipman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
