She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Thomas Mashburn and Louella Franks Mashburn. She is survived by: her husband Ralph "Pappy" Burnette; her children, Tim Burnette (Pam) of Canton, William Burnette of Canton and Darla Brown (Steve) of Canton; her grandchildren, Colleen Doll (Josh) of Charleston, SC, Ryan Burnette (Brian) of Hendersonville, Monica Hall (Braxton) of Canton, NC, Robyn Burnette (Blake) of Canton, NC, Austin Brown (Emily) of Canton, NC, Kasey Brown of Canton, NC, Jacob Burnette of Canton, NC, Heather Creson (Josh), Mitchell Lee and Kaylan Evans; her great grandchildren, Bailee, Skylar, Shelby Doll, Kaleb, Charlie Hall, Hunter, Hannalee Mathes, Johnathan, Laney Grace Brown, Colby Atkins, Sadie, Emeri Lowdermilk, Jayse Creson, Claire and Grant Evans; her sister Maxine Hill; her sister-in-law Judy Williams; her mother-in-law Thelma Burnette Mashburn; her daughter-in-law Kim Burnette; her siblings, Jesse Mashburn (Irene), Thomas Mashburn, Mary Alice Lee (Jim), May Greene (Dave), Mandalline Smith (Leroy), Joann Burnette (Hugh), Asalee Mashburn and Dessie Magaline Mashburn; and her siblings-in-law, Max Burnette (Shirley), Curtis Burnette (Mary) and Joan Ross (Cecil). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (261 Dix Creek Rd, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
