We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2022, at the age of 91, Ruth Browning Sorrells (Canton, North Carolina), born in Jackson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Browning and Nola Warren Browning; her spouse Lee Vernon Sorrells; and her siblings, Bruce Browning, James, Harold Browning, Maxine Sorrells and Margaret Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Sorrells (Janie), Doug Sorrells (Sandra), Tommy Sorrells (Donna) and Annette McElrath (John); and her brother Roy Browning. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ruth's memory to Riverside Baptist Church, Men's Ministry Ramp Builders, 2171 Lake Logan Rd. Waynesville, NC 28786.
