He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Reverend Roy, Wanda Kilby, Wade Reece and Katrina Cobb. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Kilby; his son Roan Kilby; his parents, Penny Brown (Jason) and Ryan Kilby (Jessica); his brothers, Paxton Kilby (Sadie) and Chandler Kilby (Caroline); his stepsiblings, Jackson, Ethan Boles, Dylan (Ciara), Corey and Taylor Brown; his grandparents, Vickie Reece and Earl Cobb; his nieces and nephews, Jamison, Kobe, Malia, Joshua, Wade, Zade and Erin; and his aunts and uncles, Pat Kilby (Angela), Lee Kilby (Anne) and April Long (Tommy).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (261 Dix Creek Rd, Canton, NC 28716). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in Spencer's memory to Telco Community Credit Union, 1137 Smokey Park Highway, Canton, North Carolina, directed toward an education fund for Spencer's beloved son, Roan Kilby.
