He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Francis Schaefer and Bonnie Clutter Schaefer; and his pet Chili. He is survived by: his wife Johnna Rogers Schaefer; his children, Eric Schaefer, Sr. (Jessica) of Argyle, Phillip Schaefer (Natasha) of Clyde and Anita Holloway (Cole) of Norfolk, Virginia; his grandchildren, Juliana Holland, Eric Schaefer, Jr., Peyton Schaefer and Sawyer Schaefer; his brother Anthony Schaefer (Jody) of Canton; and his nieces, Kiana Schaefer of Tampa and Delaney Schaefer of Canton.
