He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Burress and Allie O'Neil Burress; his wife Eva Mae Reece Burress; his sons, Roger and Randy Burress; his daughter-in-law Melinda Baldwin Burress; his grandson Clint Burress; and his brother Johnny Burress.
He is survived by: his son David Neal; and his daughter-in-law Cecilia Burress of Balsam. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
