It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Michael Maddox of Canton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradford Lee Maddox and Mary Frances Maddox (Anderson); his wife Susan Kelley; his daughter Jenny Pierce (Bondy); and his siblings, Robert Maddox, Anne E. Maddox, Fred Maddox, John Maddox, Linda Maddox, Terry Maddox and Ricky Maddox.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Rathbone (Michael) of Canton, NC and John Maddox (Hope) of Arden, NC; his stepdaughter April Kelley of Rutherfordton, NC.; and his siblings, Ellen Golden (Maddox) of Nashville, TN., Roger Maddox (Roxanne) of Nashville, TN. and Carolyn Dixon (Maddox) of Nashville, TN.. He is also survived by grandchildren, eleven cherished great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
