She was predeceased by: her husband Merlin Phillips; her brothers, Kenneth, Manuel, Doyle, Roy, Timmy and Dee; and her friend Monroe Franklin.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia, Janice, Thomas, Earl and Sissy; her grandchildren, Mary B, Kim, Jennifer and Ashley; her great grandchildren, Dakota, Hunter, Madisyn, Dylan, Natalya and Jace; her great great grandchildren, Nova, Kolton, Ryder and Camden; and her siblings, Christine, Linda, Brenda, Carl, Bruce, Jerry, Jack, Eulis and David.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Garrett Funerals and Cremations (460 N Main St, Waynesville, NC 28786). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Balsam Grove Cemetery.
