With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Zeda Mae Trull Stepp of Canton, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 11, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Trull and Eva Mae Cogburn Trull; and her husband Ira "Cooter" Joseph Stepp. She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Stepp (Chasity) and Tim Stepp (Rhonda); her brother Charles Trull (Ninno); and her grandchildren, Mason, Anna Rose, Nicolas, Noah, Jordan, Taylor, Josh, Blake and Mattie. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home (3715 Asheville Hwy, Canton, NC 28716). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cruso United Methodist Church (11653 Cruso Rd, Canton, NC 28716).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Fork Baptist Church, 13175 Cruso Road, Canton, NC 28716.
