He is survived by: his children, Bobbie Joe Simmons (Bill) of Salemburg, NC, Chuck Burgess (Crystal) of Rose Hill, NC, Ryan Simmons of Beulaville, NC, Brandon Simmons of Roseboro, NC, Michael Norman of Salemburg, NC, Derek Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Alaina Simmons of Virginia, Will Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Dalton Simmons of Rose Hill, NC, Khloe Simmons of Rose Hill, NC and Yvonne Rackley (Lee) of Clinton, NC.; his siblings, Harold Simmons (Patsy) of Clinton, NC, Sam Simmons (Francis) of Clinton, NC, Allen Gene Simmons (Nancy) of Clinton, NC, Faye Jacobs of Clinton, NC and Brenda Ammons of Clinton, NC; and his friend Kay Simmons of Magnolia, NC.. He is also survived by 8 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holly Grove Holiness Church (1519 Indian Town Rd, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at the Simmons Family Cemetery.
