He is survived by: his mother Nancy Atkinson Whaley of Magnolia; his wife Becky Griffin Whaley; his children, Jerry Franklin Whaley Jr. (Chrystal Hall) of Clinton and Amanda D. Whaley of Clinton; his siblings, Ann Arnold of Greenville, John Whaley Jr. of Wallace and Rhonda Malone of Magnolia; his grandchildren, Jason G. Whaley and Bailey Hunter; his great grandchild Vaylynn Hunter; his close friends, Tammie Holland, Barbara Holland and Matt Sanders; and his aunts, Erma, Kristin, Elizabeth A and Karen Whaley Sholar.
