She was predeceased by: her father Orus Campbell; her husband Scottie Sherrall Godwin Sr.; and her brother Kenneth Parker Jackson. She is survived by: her sons, Scottie Sherrall Godwin Jr. (Sabrina) of Dunn and Glen Jackson Godwin of Wade; her grandson Sherrall Thames Godwin of Raeford; her stepgreat-grandson Carson Wade Smith of Burford, Georgia; and her sister Bonnie Jo Jackson McIntyre of Godwin.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society or Eben Alexander Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to fund the Eben Alexander Chair in the Department of Neurosurgery.
