She was predeceased by: her parents, Varser Locklear and Strawdie Locklear; her husband Sanford Hardin; her daughter Strawdie Catherine Hardin; and her sisters, Hazel Locklear, Varser Lindell Jones and Jeanette Locklear.
She is survived by: her children, Selena Barton of Lumberton, Stephanie Hardin Gonzalez (Jose Gonzalez) of Lumberton and Sanford Hardin Jr. of Lumberton; and her siblings, Wilma Godwin, Edna Litchfield, Bridget Locklear and Stephen W. Locklear. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
