She was predeceased by: her father Clarence Willie Smith (Bertha Smith); her brother Stevie Smith; and her significant other Bill Nall. She is survived by: her daughters, Sonya Gilliland (Allen) and Jennifer Nicholson (John); and her grandchildren, Garrett Craven, Seth Gilliland and Carlie Anne Nicholson. She is also survived by cousins, her caring neighbors and her church family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carbonton Community Church (5442 Goldston Carbonton Rd, Goldston, NC 27252). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Carbonton Community Church Cemetery Fund and can be mailed to 5442 Goldston-Carbonton Road, Goldston, NC 27252.
