He is survived by: his parents, Chris Hegele and Rose Hegele of Raleigh, N. C.; his sister Jessica Kettler (Ryan Kettler); his sibling's children, Eloise and Easton of Raleigh, N. C.; and his pets, Zoe, Rosie and Isabella Perez. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Paws Place Dog Rescue or the Carolina Beach Police Foundation.
