He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Thadeus Sanderson and Winnie Louise Moore Sanderson; his sister Patricia Gayle Sanderson Bergamini; and his brother-in-law Edward Bentley Bergamini. He is survived by: his significant other Sarah Haydu; his brother Gary Paul Sanderson; his sister-in-law Kara Disbrow Sanderson; his nephew Edward Bentley Bergamini II (Ben); his stepchildren, Leslie Carlton (George), Amy Hawkins (Heath) and Zachary Long (Mandy); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Trevor and Wyatt; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Kayden and Hardyn; and his sibling's child BooBoo. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 30th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Fort Fisher (900 Loggerhead Rd, Kure Beach, NC 28449).
