Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brand and Margaret Richards Brand; his sister Peggy Brand; and his son-in-law Joseph Carney. He is survived by: his significant other Betty Henchy Brand; his daughter Margaret Brand; his grandchildren, Erin and Sean Carney of Carolina Beach; his son James Michael Brand (Theresa Lane Brand) of Wilmington, NC; and his sister Cathy Brand Kraus of Berkeley Heights, NJ.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
