As Allie Grier Bennett departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Allie Grier Bennett. Though Allie Grier Bennett may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard R. Atkins and Lucy E. Atkins; her son Derek Alan Johnson; and her brother Jack M. Bennett. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Ann Bennett of Southern Pines; and her sibling's children, Christopher S. Bennett of Carthage and Laura A. Bennett of Southern Pines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and wonderful cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (2237 Camp Easter Rd, Carthage, NC 28388).
