It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Alpeter of Carthage, North Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Barbara departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Barbara leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Fredrick Krebs and Flossie May Krebs; and her brother Glenn Krebs. She is survived by: her husband Dean Dennis Alpeter; and her children, Brenda Kay Alpeter of Southern Pines, NC, Mark Douglas Alpeter of Texas and Matthew Dean Alpeter of Belmont, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cox Memorial Funeral Home (4888 US-1, Vass, NC 28394). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Orphans Hands, P O Box 35, Clinton, TN 37716-9900 in memory of Barbara Alpeter.
