With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bill Carter Jr. of Carthage, North Carolina, who passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Louise Dowell Carter and William M. Carter, Sr.; his sister Jane Grace Hodge; and his nephews, Tommy and Timmy Walker.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Carter; his sons, W. M. Carter, III (Tripp) and Jon Matthew Carter; his stepdaughter Betsy Reid (Marc); his grandson Jake; his stepdaughter Holly Curbow (Dustin); his grandsons, Daniel and Carter; his sister Martha Johnson (Prentice); his nieces and nephews, Mitch and Carter; and his brother-in-law Marvin Brantley. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
